Check-In & Checkout

Check-in & checkout of the villa is mandatory and must be completed!

CHECK-IN is normally at 4:00 pm. If the villa is empty and we don’t have any other guests checking out on your day of arrival, you may check in at any time.

When you arrive to your villa, you will be greeted by your villa manager who will do your check-in – almost like at any hotel.

You will fill out a check-in form (See Check In Check Out Form) and a valid credit card + photo ID is required for the check-in.

Please note that a mandatory HOLD (Pre-Authorization Charge) of US$ 1500 will be placed on your credit card to cover any incidentals, damages, etc., that may arise during your stay. This hold will be released 7 days after your checkout date IF no damages to the rental property or its content has been reported. Any damages incurred to the Villa / Rental Property or its contents during occupancy (plus a 25% service charge) will be discounted from this security deposit. Damages that exceed this amount will be charged to the guest´s credit card on record. No charge will be made until the guest is notified. Palmera Travel LLC has 7 days from date of checkout to notify guests of such discovered damages and guest has 7 days to dispute and/or settle such damages. An automatic charge for damages in excess of the security deposit will be made to the credit card on record within 14 days after departure unless otherwise agreed to in writing between the guest and Palmera Travel LLC. Security deposits will be refunded (less charges for damages) within 30 days after your departure.

You’ll also receive a copy of the House Rules to read through and sign along with the check-in document.

If your villa rental doesn’t include the electricity, you’ll read the meter upon check-in (and again at checkout).

CHECKOUT is normally at 11:00 am. If there are not other guests checking in on your day of departure, you may check out of the villa at any time.

On your departure day, your villa manager will stop by in the morning to do your checkout. Any outstanding balance must be paid at this time – cash or credit card. If you wish to leave a gratuity for the staff that has been taking care of you during your vacation, you may do so at the checkout.

Credit card payments: Please note that for any credit card payments and for the hold (pre-authorization charge), your villa manager will do an imprint of your card, which you are required to sign. A copy of the imprint (receipt) will be provided to you for your records. All credit card payments are charged in USD + 3.6% fee. Only credit cards with embossed numbers are accepted at this time.
