As you may have already heard or seen us share on our Facebook page, Hurricane Irma is slowly moving closer to the Caribbean and is scheduled to hit the Dominican Republic on Thursday this week.
Official hurricane warnings have been issued for several of the Caribbean Islands and although an official warning hasn’t been issued for the Dominican Republic, it should only be a matter of time before this happens.
We’re following the hurricane closely and monitoring developments on websites such as The National Hurricane Center and Weather Underground and urge everyone in the Dominican Republic and other Caribbean Islands to start preparing for Hurricane Irma.
If you are currently in e.g. the Dominican Republic, we urge you to keep yourself and the people around you informed and updated about the next few days’ weather forecast.
Do what you need to take precautions and prepare OR (better yet) make arrangement to leave the area as soon as possible.
